The Olathe Community of Christ is topfivedesign’s home congregation. It’s the church that we grew up in continue to worship in to this day. We decided to volunteer our services and completely overhaul the site to make it a more dynamic, functional site that people could visit to receive information on upcoming events and worship services as well as the ministries offered.

The site became a passion project for us and we spent countless hours working on the architecture and design of the site as well as working with church leaders to make sure that all areas were filled as best they could be.

In addition to doing much of the copywriting, topfivedesign built this site from the ground up, using Textpattern as the content manager and then later implementing a custom password-protected installation of Wordpress to host the member directory. These content managers are essential to allowing topfivedesign to administer the site easily and rapidly make content updates.

The overhaul has been an overwhelming success, resulting in an increased number of walk-in worshippers and higher usage by current congregational members. topfivedesign continues to administer the site and is making enhancements as requested.

Gardner Edgerton Blazerettes

The Gardner Edgerton High School Blazerettes Dance Team wanted a custom site that would keep the parents and dancers of the team informed on upcoming events as well as provide information about tryouts for future members.

With the help of Textpattern, topfivedesign built a functional, extendable website that was manageable by the coaches. Textpattern’s simple interface helped to enable the Blazerette coaches to manage the content of the site themselves.

To run the team’s calendar, topfivedesign used a flexible embedded Google Calendar, once again allowing the coaches to manage the site instead of having a bottleneck when changes were needed. In addition, the videos are hosted by YouTube.

“EmergencyJobs.biz“http://www.emergencyjobs.biz is a website created specifically for the niche market of Emergency Medical Service (EMS), Fire Services and Law Enforcement jobs. We were contacted to design a new logo for the site and to help with customizing the proprietary job software that EmergencyJobs.biz purchased to put their unique stamp on this sector of the industry.

topfivedesign overcame many obstacles and in some instances had to completely rewrite templates in order to accomplish what the client wanted for their site. However, the client was very satisfied with the finished project and the way in which topfivedesign has provided ongoing support as other issues come up.

Aviation Leasing Group

Aviation Leasing Group (ALG) is an aviation conglomerate operating worldwide that includes: aircraft leasing companies, airline operations, finance and investment, comprehensive airline training, airline support and technical services, and aircraft overhaul and maintenance facilities. ALG has also been successful arranging aircraft financing for third parties.

ALG came to topfivedesign for an update of their existing Web site, which previously existed in two long pages that did not meet any Web standards. In addition, they needed hosting for their new site, which we were happy to provide. The new site meets XHTML 1.0 Transitional Web standards set forth by the W3C.

HeavyLift International Airlines

HeavyLift International Airlines is the first all-cargo airline certificated in the U.A.E. (United Arab Emirates). Working with an overseas cargo airline company was a challenge for topfivedesign.

First, we needed to help define the branding identity based on a previous design but we managed to provide a high quality site with a focus on SEO and clean code.

Embellished Events is a specialized party planning service that is run by our good friend Brooke and her cousin, Ashley. Brooke and Ashley came to us looking for a logo that reflected their business as well as the supporting site.

With the help of Alli, topfivedesign built a logo, business cards, an initial mailing and a fully functional website for their business.

The logo was designed by Alli based on the client’s original idea. topfivedesign modified the logo into vectors and then used that design as the basis for the business card and site templates.

KC Dining Specials

Kansas City Dining Specials is a website created for the Kansas City Metropolitan community to share their favorite local restaurant dining specials. topfivedesign worked with KCDiningSpecials to help them develop their logo, branding, and consulted on much of the design.

KC Dining Specials was crafted in Ruby on Rails by Tree Trunk Media, LLC. We worked with Tree Trunk to help clean their code, provided minor consulting on the structure of the pages and created the fork/spoon/knife logo.
