The Architect
The Muscle
Shane was born and raised in the Kansas City area, save a brief non-college stint in Lamoni, Iowa when he was too young to understand the word “stint”. Little did he know that a decade-and-a-half after he moved back to Kansas City, he would return to Iowa for four-and-a-half glorious years at Graceland University.
Much of Shane’s time at Graceland was spent in the gym playing volleyball, but in his spare time, he studied English, graduating in 1999 Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Communications: English (Writing concentration) and a minor in Business Administration. He also managed to meet the love of his life and founding (and sole) member of his very own fan club, Alli.
Post-Graceland, he returned to Kansas City and married Alli as quickly as was possible. They settled in Johnson County and he began working for a document imaging software company called Perceptive Software (formerly Perceptive Vision) where he spent 6 years working at jobs ranging from Training Van Driver to Vice President of Shelving and ultimately, Graphic Designer.
In 2006, Shane departed Perceptive Software for the financial services industry where he presently serves as a Marketing Specialist for a company called SunBridge Capital.
In his first year with SunBridge, Shane has worked to bring the company up to web standards and works with a highly talented group of technology developers on projects such as inventory websites.
When he’s not goofing around on his computer (blogging and whatnot), Shane likes to take pictures (which he sometimes posts to his Flickr photostream), watch movies and TV and spend time with his beautiful wife and their dog, Dreyfuss.
Shane’s top five movies:
Jake “Don’t Call Me Jacob” Adams has always had an affinity for the arts. Unlike his brother, he discovered his creativity at a young age and immersed himself into every visual arts outlet he could get his hands on.
In high school, he discovered sculpture, but realized that it would be difficult to make money as a sculptor because, hey…it’s sculpture. He headed north to Iowa for a year to test the waters at Graceland with his brother before returning to his home state to study Graphic Design at the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
After KU, Jake began his career at For Rent Magazine, where he currently serves as a Graphic Designer in charge of the Kansas City magazine.
Jake is a very skilled photographer and excels in brochure and print design.
Jake and his fiancĂ©e, Kelly, live with their new baby girl in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, but Jake remains a die hard Jayhawk fan and an avid poker player. You can read his Weblog here.
